Is Summer really over >?

We can not believe that the summer is almost over.  We had a Labor Day / 25 Year Eagle Nest Anniversary / Joan and Walters 40th Wedding Anniversary party here at the park.  Tents, a band, catered with an Open Bar (the best kind !).  Here are some pics..........

I had the opportunity to atttend the Polson Fly-in Breakfast this last Saturday.  There was a good turn out with about 50 planes coming in.  My favorite was this 1928 Travel Air.  Restored to perfect 1920's airliner !

This is the very cool landing lights that popped down out of the wings.......

Complete with wicker seats and wooden yokes.......

Even a bathroom in the tail !

A beautiful Airplane !

A tailwind came in too...............

The Missoula Life Flight came in and set up a display..............................

AN AT6 came in too and gave us a low fly by...............................

A Harmon Rocket with a cool paint job...............................

A flight line shot....................................

We also had an End of Summer Margarita Pool Party this last weekend !  Fun Times, Good Food, and Excellent Margaritas !

Even though we are only a week away from our final shift here at the resort, we will probably hang around until October 12th helping out with the house.  From there we are heading south !  1st stop, Livingston Texas to get registered as Texas residents.  It will take a day or two to get everything changed over.  We chose Texas as our domicile due to tax advantages, good health care plans, and great insurance rates.  After that we are off to "Mooch Dock" (free camping on a friends property) at our friends Shannon and Debbies Beach Side house in Surfside Texas !  Their house is 18 feet above the ground and our rig should fit right under it !  We will hang out there the balance of October, November, and part of December.  We will fly home for a couple of weeks over the Holidays and when we get back we will depart for Mission Texas.  We will spend January, February, March, and part of April at the Retama Village RV park.  Mission is in the very southern tip of Texas and have very warm temperatures all winter long !  Can you say RIO GRAND Valley !

That is all for now.  Stay tuned for more to come...............................................
